The Good: Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Clean and quiet rooms. Super comfy beds (room 30). Pleasant bathroom with hot shower. Good value for money.

Only four cooking rings for 168 Guests, makes it a little awkward around dinner-time so I generally cooked early afternoon or late in the evening.

Good value for money, the $60 ensuite double bedroom we had was quite and rather nice. The laundry is clean, you can hang your clothes outside, there's a nice refreshing pool and really helpful staff.

The only good thing about that hostel was the staff which was friendly and helpful at any time.

Kitchen is way too small for the amount of guests staying and is already in the early evening a real mess. The stoves were a disaster, as there is no marking which knob is operating which plate or which position is full or low power. Often there was no dish washing liquid and in the evenings there was never a tea towel. The room doors don't close properly (I stayed in 2 different rooms and saw also other doors like that along the hallway) so if one of your roommates forgets to pull the door properly, anyone can get access to the room. There was no power point in the lockers, so you have to leave your valuables behind to charge them if you don't want to stay and way/watch them. Furthermore I had blood stains on my linen! There should be an air condition in bathrooms to, as it feels like a sauna in the evening, when everybody is taking a shower. You'll be sweating heavily before you finished brushing your teeth.

Typical party hostel. Fortunately my room wasn't too close to the bar, as there are always drunk people screaming/ yelling at night.

Free WiFi was almost un-useable. Paid $15 extra for 'Premium WiFi' but still not fast enough to backup my photos to the cloud each day.

The Bad: 4 out of the 6 washer/dryers were out of order so a few guests had to wait to wash their clothes.

Nice and clean hostel with laid back vibe. Way better then the other hostels in Mitchells st. If your not that much into partying but more into getting some sleep in the nights.
