  There was 3 of us, jammed into this tiny room, with bunk beds and a double,no where to put your suitcases, was told to park car out the back, which did and next morning a $60 parking ticket, queried the lodge, who said ohh, you have to have an ashton lodge sticker on your window, so that night parked same as before with sticker on window, and guess what another $60 ticket, back to see the manager this time who says, ohh no parking there, park at the side of the building, no hope as she and the staff have their cars parked there, hmmm, The pool area is really nice to sit round, and have a quiet relax, as there is no room in the rooms to do this, There is a back gate, you go out the gate and guess what?? your in trouble with the manager, the gate is a one way only, OUT, and she's waiting for you when you get back in, to read you the riot act, saying the gate is alarmed, well guess what, we had our friend the electrician have a look, and its not, We are 3 women in our fifties who thought it would be nice to spend a holiday together, and take in the sites of Darwin,, everything we were told about the accomodation before our arrival is crap,

  Food was under standards. The oysters tasted warm and a week old. Garlic bread tasted like a poor substitute for butter on bread no garlic at all. The coke was flat. Staff were friendly and well presented.

  The Staff are extremely helpful and the cool thing is this building directly attaches to an outdoor bar downstairs. So not a far walk if you're hammered if you know what I mean.

  My girlfriend and I arrived on our plane around midnight but made sure to call ahead and inform them of our late arrival. They placed a key outside with a code they gave me so getting into our room was no issue.

  Friendly service, standard pub food. Nice outdoor space, good spot for a beer.

  There are no elevators so take that into account. :)

  We had a great time getting a beer and enjoying the people watching. I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance.
