  Whole area is great with pools, shops etc but the Tavern was certainly a different experience. Attended an informative talk re beers there, sampled several and ate. Very friendly staff with a great atmosphere.

  Conclusion: The Precinct is a good place to have a few elegant craft beers, good food and fine atmosphere.

  Here for a convention and had the first 2 nights in Darwin at this place. Origin night, exceptional. Second night, fantastic. Third night.... what a disaster. I really think the bar and security staff need more training. I myself have worked in bars and pubs for years and hold an RSA. My partner went to the bar (after already being there for over an hour, sitting quietly watching the "people go by") he asked a very young man who up until that point had been great, for two glasses of your house white. $28 dollars please??? (Previously charged $18). I had previously been going to the bar and getting our drinks but I went to the bathroom only to come out and find my partner being taken out by a EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL security guard. I of course went to my partners defence. After a heated discussion we decided we didn't even want to go back in and would proceed to a better managed venue. I in the process lost my sunglasses that were on my head. I went back to ask the security guard if he had seen my glasses. He kept saying over and over your not coming back in. I then in my frustration yelled at the idiot "Your not listening to me you moron, I just want my sunglasses". Eventually I gave up speaking to the imbecile and walked back to my hotel. My partner eventually went back and got the sunglasses (as they are expensive and prescription) and was assisted my a lovely young waitress.

  Might wanna reconsider Saturday night staff.... just saying. Your stupid bar and security staff ruined my perfect evening with their incompetence and unprofessional behaviour.

  Very knowledgeable bar staff to assist with decent beer selections. Great atmosphere including acoustic muso and singer. Didn't dine so cant rate the grub.

  Went to this hidden gem a few days back for drinks after work. Ambience was on point with good service and a vast array of craft beers. Food was slightly above what you would expect from pub food and well suited for this venue.
